Presented newly matted, framed and glazed in a white lacquer frame with UV glass
SIGNED AND DATED UPPER LEFT WITHIN THE PAINTING AND ON THE VERSO OF THE FRAME WITH AN ADDITIONAL DRAWING.
A vibrant ALL Original Peter Max Watercolor and Ink Painting on heavy paper/card stock. Signed and dated by Peter Max as “MAX" to the upper left corner of the art and additionally signed on the original verso of the frame as "MAX / 1993". The art depicts the portrait of a woman rendered in hot vibrant colors. The piece was newly framed using all archival materials and UV glass. The original frame verso also contains a second signed hand drawn sketch by Peter Max. This signed original drawing, located on the backing paper of the original frame, was salvaged and placed into a sleeve now placed on the verso of the newly reframed art. This piece will add both provenance and authenticity to the art. The new frame is a premium gloss white lacquer frame. with the art presented floated. The new frame sets off the art with a spectacular presentation on the wall! A Fantastic Striking All-Original piece.
PROVENANCE:
The art was purchased from an Auction House who was commissioned to sell numerous original illustrations by Peter Max with each piece being authenticated and vetted by the premier auction house. A copy of the original bill of sale, lot number and the description will be included with the piece, and will provide both provenance and authenticity for the art. The original Gallery stamp on the verso of the original frame in addition to the second signed sketch by Peter Max will be in a sleeve placed on the verso of the frame art and represents the second signature, and the important added provenance.
Note this is NOT a limited edition, this is NOT a lithograph, NOR is this the common Peter Max mixed media one usually sees (which is partially a litho with added embellishments), instead this is 100% a one-of-a-kind original piece by Peter Max
Condition: The art is in Fine condition, and is presented in a premier new white lacquer frame.
