A lovely near fine copy of this title with clean boards and gilt titles to the spine and front of the boards. The book has sharp corners with one tiny tip bump, and no edgewear. The original cloth is in beautiful condition with some of the typical sunning to the spine. The binding is tight and square. The original tissue guard is present. The copyright page shows the Published October 1908 with the Scribner seal as required for the first printing. The book is internally clean and bright with No owner names, No stains, No handling marks, and No foxing but very slight to the first blank page. Please see detailed images. A wonderful example of this title withOUT the usual cracked hinges, broken bindings. Instead the unusually clean copy had a sound readable binding. Displays well on the shelf.
