A SPECTACULAR PIECE. This original signed Maurice Sendak drawing of 3 Wild Things and Max is a preliminary sketch rendered in graphite on vellum. If you look closely, you can see each figure appears to be hanging and have their hands open as if they were holding onto a branch. Each of the characters were drawn in detail and each is drawn in full body poses. Maurice Sendak signed the piece lower right "Maurice Sendak". The art has been newly matted, framed and glazed using all archival materials and UV glass, and has a wonderful presence on the wall.

PROVENANCE: The Art is EX: Bonhams and was acquired during the period Bonhams had a sale of several original detailed preliminaries by Sendak. The art will be accompanied by the original lot description and invoice.
