An usually bright clean and crisp book with deep black boards. Bright unfaded gilt titles to spine. The book is in near fine/ fine condition with sharp corners one slightly rounded, and no edgewear. The cloth is clean and still retains the original sheen. The binding is tight and square. The end pages are clean with no owner names and no inscriptions. The internal pages are clean, bright and flat with no stains, no marks, no writing, no bent pages, no age toning and no foxing. Beautiful book, appearing as unread. Please see images.
The book comes with a near fine first printing, first state original dust jacket, with the requisite “Devil of a State” Review to the rear panel, and wide interior flaps on the jacket. The dust jacket received slight restoration to a 1" intact tear, and to the upper spine tip and presents in near fine condition. The jacket has strong vibrant colors with bright white flaps, and has No rips, No chips, No edgewear, No staining, No foxing . The dust jacket is NOT price clipped and has a price of 16s net on the front inner flap.
