First Edition, First Printing, First State: An internally crisp and clean, near fine copy in the scarce original First Printing, First State dust jacket.
Original blue cloth boards, with white titles to spine, slightly rubbed. The book is in near fine condition with but toning/sunning along the top 1.5 inches running along the top of the boards. The book has sharp corners and no edgewear. The binding is tight and square. The end papers are in beautiful condition being clean and bright with an owner name to the front (see image), otherwise, no inscriptions, no bookplates, and no bookstore stamps. The internal pages are very crisp, clean, bright, flat and still stiff with no marks, no writing, no stains, no bent pages and no foxing! Please see images.
The book comes with the First edition, First Printing, First State dust jacket in near fine condition. The requisite 4 lines for the Chilton Books publisher’s address are present to the rear inside flap designating the true FIRST edition, FIRST STATE jacket for this title. The jacket has benefited from slight restoration to the very upper corner tips, and an intact tear along the upper spine, and as such presents as near fine example. The dust jacket is bright with highly vibrant colors and with virtually none of the otherwise fading that is more usually found to the spine. The rear panel remains bright with only a slight bit of toning and the jacket has No rips, No chips, No stains, No rubbing and No foxing.
