SIGNED AND DATED LOWER RIGHT WITHIN THE PAINTING.
A vibrant ALL Original Peter Max Watercolor and Ink Painting on heavy paper/card stock. Signed and dated by Peter Max as “Peter Max /97” to the lower right corner of the art. The art depicts the profile of a woman whose shape blends into a heart. The art is rendered in hot vibrant colors of bright pink, yellow and blue. Signed by Peter Max lower right “Max / 97”. The verso is additionally noted with C. Peter Max 1997. The new frame is a premium gloss white lacquer frame, framed, matted and glazed with all archival materials and UV glass, with the art presented floated on a white background. The new frame sets off the art with a spectacular presentation on the wall! A Fantastic Striking All-Original piece.
PROVENANCE:
The art was purchased from an Auction House who was commissioned to sell numerous original illustrations by Peter Max, with each piece being authenticated and vetted by the premier auction house, and with most pieces from the auction having provenance of “Off The Wall” gallery. This piece was included with the grouping, and was signed to the verso with “C. Peter Max, 1997”. A copy of the original bill of sale, lot number and the description will be included with the piece, and will provide both provenance and authenticity for the art.
Note this is NOT a limited edition, this is NOT a lithograph, NOR is this the common Peter Max mixed media one usually sees (which is partially a litho with added embellishments), instead this is 100% a one-of-a-kind original piece by Peter Max
